Our Journey
Maersk H2S Safety Services has been safeguarding operations since 1985. What began as a single office in Denmark has evolved into a global safety partner, trusted to deliver uncompromising solutions in the most challenging environments. Our journey reflects a commitment to safety, operational excellence, and constant care.
1985–1995: The foundation
Our story began in Svendborg, Denmark, addressing high H₂S concentrations in the North Sea. From the start, we set a clear standard: safety is non-negotiable. This principle remains the cornerstone of our operations.
1996–2005: Regional expansion
We extended our reach with new branches in Italy, Venezuela, Australia, and Brazil, enabling us to support offshore and onshore projects across multiple continents.
2006–2013: Strategic growth
Acquisition by Danbor strengthened our capabilities, and new subsidiaries in Norway and Brazil allowed us to deliver tailored safety solutions for large-scale projects.
2014–2020: Integration and global presence
Joining Maersk Training aligned our safety expertise with world-class training standards. Offices opened in Brunei, Congo, and the Middle East & North Africa, followed by UK and Southeast Asia operations.
2021–2025: Strengthening global presence
Our latest milestone is the establishment of a new MENA branch in 2025, reaffirming our commitment to global safety leadership wherever operations demand it.
2025 onwards: Continuing our growth
Our focus remains on supporting customers in evolving energy markets and challenging environments. We intend to grow responsibly, enhance our global capabilities, and maintain the highest safety standards wherever we operate.
